How To Cook Corned Beef and Cabbage - B & E's Famous St. Patrick's Day Recipe

St. Patrick's day is right around the corner; Sunday, March 17th. Come into B & E Meats and Seafood and pick up some delicious corned beef or corned pork!

Our Recipe

• You will need a pound of potatoes – Use your favorite kind and wash and set aside.
• Wash carrots and cut into one inch pieces.
• Two cups of apple cider or juice, plus two cups of water. Pour the water in first, then add the corned beef followed by two cups of apple juice or cider.
• Cook on high in a crock pot for four hours. Place a lid on the pot. Always cook covered. After three hours, add carrots and potatoes. Recover and cook for one more hour.
• Last 20 minutes of cooking add in sliced cabbage and recover.

Four hours later you will have a delicious meal. Serve sliced or shredded. Yum!

Depending on whether you are cooking on the stove top or in a crock pot, which may take a bit longer, cooking times may vary.
